The trattoria format
At I Bùgianèn we have chosen the fixed-price menu formula so as to preserve the authentic experience of Piedmontese trattorias and inns. One of our goals is to let you rediscover the joy of sharing at the table, and this formula is perfect for that.
Choose a first course, a second, or both
Your experience will in fact begin with a series of typical appetizers to be shared with your table. The first and second course can then be chosen “à la carte” depending on the daily menu, to allow greater personalization compared to a tasting formula.
A sweet ending, multiplied by 3
Dinner then ends with a tasting of three desserts, again placed in the center of the table to be shared.

- Lard and friciule
- 3 Appetizers
- Choice of first course
- Dessert tasting
- Lard and friciule

Perfect bollito misto
A fantastic place. Friendly and knowledgeable service. We had a perfect bollito misto served in ceramic bowls that preserve warmth and flavor. A fair price for what we received. Recommended for any occasion.

Kind and efficient
On the way back to Milan, they welcomed us without a reservation, even though full, letting us know the time when the table should be vacated: kind and efficient. Smiling and attentive service, excellent food, exceptional panna cotta at the end. Well done.

Bùgianèn! We’ll take care of the rest
The sight of a set table takes us back to those Sunday lunches at grandma’s house. It was, and remains, a kind of cuisine that we believe should be experienced through sharing and smiles — two things that are never missing here at I Bùgianèn.
The origin of the term “bùgianèn”
The origin of the term “bùgianèn”
Bùgia nèn, in Piedmontese “don’t move.” Few know that this expression was born on the battlefield. We chose it as the name of our trattoria in Asti because in bùgia nèn we also read something else.
